oil cooler custom kit
So make long story short, I bought lots of metal fab tools for my shop and making custom oil cooler for the driver side of my 07 E93. now my question is I see there is already an oil cooler on the passenger side. The lines go from oil filter housing and there are 4 connection on the housing. two on top, two on the bottom. two on top and shut closed with bots. and two bottom ones are used for the oem cooler. I opened up the top two bolts and thinking about running two more lines for the new cooler that I am about to install on the driver side. I got the fender well cut and vent installed and putting in the oil cooler with a scoop to suck air from the front bumper like the OEM passenger side. Anyone think this could be a bad idea?? if so please explain. is it ok to run lines from the filter housing?? any advice is appreciated. thanks
Jay P.S. please dont delete or ban me because I mentioned I have a shop. I am in no way trying to sell or advertise. |

I've had a few guys "piggy back" the stock oil cooler using Mishimoto units by just putting them inline. Their seeing pretty solid results using that method.

I'd LOVE to know more about this. I have just started pondering what can be done for a cheaper oil cooler solution.
