Carbon Fiber Trunk Lip Spoiler Questions
Hi guys,
I see that most vendors recommend double-sided 3M tape to mount it on your trunk. How secure is that really? Couldn't someone just pry it off and steal it? Also, are there any other alternative methods to attach it more securely to the trunk? I have no prior experiences with this so please pardon my ignorance. Thanks. |

I have a BMW spoiler and I attached it with 3M tape. It's on there like a rock. Pretty sure I'd need a heat gun/hair dryer to get it off like badges. I don't see anything wrong with it, plus it won't screw the paint up if removed like the BMW beta link stuff.

3m tape will hold it on extremely well. the other option is batalink i beleive thats what its called. and i used that for my oem aero spoiler, that stuff will never come off. which could be a problem.

3M tape can be removed.
Betalink is permanent. It's equivalent to 3M body panel adhesive. Something that is in between is, 3M Urethane windshield adhesive. That is what I used. Easier to clean up than Betalink and stronger than the tape. It's can be removed but with a lot of effort. You will probably damage the part but you can remove it. |

Just go with the recommended 3m automotive tape. It Works!
