just ordered JB4 and DCI, need advise.

Ok so i finally pulled the trigger and ordered the JB4 and the DCI. My question is a stock 2011 335is w DCT, what map should the car be set on? Car always has 93 octane. No other mods will be done on the car. Ive been reading lately that map 6 is the best for a car like that?? Any advise would be great. Also im in Northern NJ, bergen county, is there anyone that can install this for me? I am not even going to attempt to do it lol.. thanks.

You must be looking at an old out of date map list. I would recommend map 1 or map 5 (auto-tune) and no other map until you log. See below.. Here is the up to date map desciption

Maps:

Map 0: Stock bypass. Thisis the only map you may use the OBDII diagnostic port with. Set to map 0 before dropping off for service, using a BT, etc. Map 1: 13psi (suggested formost stock applications) Map 2: 14.5psi (suggested forthose with downpipes and 93 octane, close to JB3 map 7) Map 3: Progressive meth mapping with flow sensor failsafe. See guide to enable. Meth use isn'tsupported/suggested without a flow sensor and map 3. Map 4: Stock map w/ CAN active. Soon to be our economy map. Map 5: Alpha autotuning map. Boost ranges between 11-16psi based on your cars octane, conditions, and modifications. Map 6: Custom tuning map with Meth Enabled Map 7: 16.5psi. A light weight race map. 100 RM2 octane required.

IS/1M have their own custom Map 6 under their respective interface settings. This is what's considered optimal for them. The settings posted above are correct, but for the regular N54

You use the BMS USB cable to load the 335is/1M/Dinan specific settings, then you use map 2. You can also use the map 6 as a more aggressive map if on 93 octane but it's still being BETA tested.

Ah I stand corrected. Sorry about that. I was unaware and didn't notice you had an IS.

I run 93 octane but tip in some 100 to get 94.5 octane as an insurance policy with Map 6. That being said have run straight 93 with no apparent issues.
