330d LCI 0-60mph
Thought I'd make an acceleration video with my 330d, as I want to compare it to my future 328i, since they both produce the same rated output of 245ps. So I thought I'd post it here so you can enjoy it too!
![]() Very easy to see that BMW underrates the 0-60 times (quoted 6.1) but reviewers say they easily get 5.9 in the 6MT like mine. I could've attacked 1st gear a little more - a "chirp" would've been ideal but I didn't want to just spin the power away so aired on the side of caution more! ![]() So, here you go ![]() ![]() And here is another video I created on the same night just to show how the DTC/DSC system intervenes.

Not bad! I love the acceleration of my 335d, but could honestly do with a little slower (5.5 0-60) for better MPGs.

How do you find your torque converters? I like the fact that when I lift the left pedal up to the top, all power is being transmitted!
![]() I've heard some 335d owners be pissed off that power is being lost through the torque converter which obviously, they have little control of! Ahhh, I do love my car ![]() Regarding the previous comment, I did once go on a eco drive (well, speed limit drive) and the car returned 52mpg!! My usual drive gets 44-47 MPG - temperature dependant.

SR123, the torque convertor locks up in higher gears, so there's not as much loss compared to no lock-up. That said, a start in 2nd gear actually results in a quicker 0-60 since the wheels spin less from the standstill than starting in 1st.
Cheers D.
