My new rear lights E90 Lamin-X

Hi guys,

I bought these from a forum member and couldn't be happier with them after fitting them tonight.

I didn't really like the look of the Darklines and I really liked the idea of Lamin-x on the current ones, so when these came up I nabbed them right away.

I think they make a nice change to the rear of the car.

Theres a small square slit, for the reverse which isn't too noticeable in the pics but it is there.

Now for that droopy exhaust

I too don't really fancy the black lines. These seem to be an ideal alternative. Only If they had LED ones in this shape....

Lamin-x is like a window tint film that you can get in various colours.

It's quite difficult to shape it to these lights but with patience it can be done.

I jumped at the chance of these though because I would probably mess it up.

Here's a pic of them off the car.

http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/ seems to be the official site and it seems to come up on Fleabay a lot as well.

The pictures don't really do the lights justice, I don't think I'll have any issues with the police as they dont look too dark in real life, the smoked colour is quite subtle

There's a few threads on here regarding lamin X, have a search to see if there's any other places to pick it up.

Good Luck, and post some pics if you manage it

Hmmm not sure myself. Looks alright but Ive been swayed into the Dark side lol.

As for Lamin-x it isn't window tint at all, its a protective film for headlights and fog lights mainly and they also make body work film.

The cars you see in Le Mans series racing use the film on the headlights.

Looking great. A subtle mod without seeking attention from coppers.

Makes the car look bang up to date! Miles better than black lines.

Excellent mod!

Has the laminate been applied to the whole light-housing or just the clear section?

Also can't figure out why the clear section in the pic appears to look matt.
Looks good though.

Looks good though.
The actual large housing has had the smoked tint applied, whereas the reverse part of the light has the red tint (hence the different appearance)
