e90 oem base speaker swap
and yes ive searched lol
Ok i wanted to ask the question as i wanted to hear from anyone who has done this... i got a e90 sedan with professional nav and the base stereo system.. so 4 speakers and two underfloor 'subs' sizes are 4inch in the front doors/rear parcel and the underseat 'subs' are 8inch i think... what i wanna do is improve the sound quality a little without having to add an amp. so tell me what speakers would you recomend to replace the oem ones. Ive been told to get 2ohm speakers as they are able to run directly of the headunit (standard speakers are 2ohm) thanks guys |

and the rest of the BSW site... I'd recommend adding an amp though. and tweeters. |

Most aftermarket speakers would be 4ohm.
If you just want to get them local then go have a look in the store for any 2ohm ones you like in your price range? Just don't replace crap with crap cause all you'll end up with is crap. |

I just recently had the alpine kit installed (2 tweeters + 2 mid range + amp) and they make a big difference. There is a lot more power through the system and tweeters make a huge difference.
I bought mine from Schmiedmann. http://www.schmiedmann.com/alpine/pr...h-by-text.aspx (need tweeter housings for pillars too) |
