Bluetooth Problems finally resolved
Since buying the e90 I’ve been suffering terrible connection problems with the BMW Bluetooth. I’ve gone through 2 different HTC Desires, both of which suffered constant connection/disconnection which drove me nuts – After Googling the problem I deleted all the Contact notes and extra information and made sure all contact field were in the right place but nada, I tried moving most of my contacts to a different, none syncing, Gmail account reducing the contact count on my HTC to about 50, all to no avail - I even tried a Nokia N8 with no contacts on board but that was the same. The e90 spent a whole day with BMW who eventually told me that because I was using a different version of firmware on the HTC to that tested tested by them they wouldn’t help, I was on my own!!
Last week I invested in a SIM free Samsungs Galaxy S3 & it’s a revelation. After pairing it with the car it now connects and syncs all 300 contacts seamlessly without intervention. Playing MP3s through the Bluetooth is a breeze whilst running CameraAlert, which simply interrupts the audio with warnings and then resumes playing MP3s. Without waxing lyrical about what a great phone this or and how it knocks everything else, including the iPhone into a cocked hat, the fact that it now works seamlessly with the e90 LCI makes it worth the investment - well done and thank you Samsung! |

I didn't say it did "knock the iPhone into a cocked hat", I said I "wouldn't wax lyrical" about it, although I have to admit it's probably a bit ambiguous. I've never had an iPhone nor a Mac so I can't give an opinion either way

After struggling with the HTC & having BMW wipe their hands of the problem I was giving some consideration to buying an iPhone, but fortunately I came to my senses & went for the SGS3
