60k Mile Service questions
So I'm running around 55k miles and I just got the service engine soon light came up thinking of doing the 60k mile service pretty soon. What is the ball park figure im looking at for this? and any recommendations for shops around Huntington Beach during the week? or Koreatown in the weekend?

When I was around 60k the car was saying that it needed an oil change. I prepaid for service for 6yr/100k miles so I wasn't really concerned about the money. When I took the car to a dealer they said the condition based service data said I needed spark plugs and an air filter too but it's also covered under my plan with no deductible. When they were done I asked the service advisor how much it would have costed if I hadn't prepaid already. He said $700-$800.
As a side note I went to another dealer not long after that to get some toys installed and they said there was a leak around my oil filter housing but that it was covered by my certified pre-owned warranty and that I only needed to pay a $50 deductible. It's a common problem in older cars and the parts aren't too expensive but the labor is a pain. It's a dealer service money maker. Without the warranty it's a $880 job. |
