For stock ride height, try the Bilstein HDs. If you're going to go lower, pair up the Bilsteins with a lowering spring like the H&R Sport, or Eibach Pro Kit.

alright, so this is why people make mistakes and spend too much money on later fixes...

the billstein HD's are for stock height only. if you use lowering springs, try one of their sport version which are shorter and built for the task. you will end up wearing out the HD's just as you would the stock dampers if you pair them with stiffer/shorter lowering springs.

"High-performance shock absorbers and struts designed specifically for lowering springs and production sport vehicle"

for fuck's sake already... this forum.

If you're looking to maintan a stock-like ride height and improve the handling characteristics of your car consider the BMW performance suspension kit. Everything will stay OEM too.

I am 12hrs away of getting my Bilstein HD's installed on my 328i. From my previous experience with my e46 , i was so impress with these . You are not only going back to that new car feeling again but really stepping up vs oem stuff. Yo won't regret it.

Ok guys I would like to say thanks for all the help, my last question is I'm choosing to go with tire racks eibach pro kit like the linkhttp://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspension.jsp?make=Eibach&model=Pro-System+Kit&group=Pro-System+Kit&partNum=2085.780&autoMake=BMW&autoModel =328i+Sedan&autoYear=2009&autoModClar=Base+Model

My last question, is this all I need to get for new struts and shock other than installation?

Do not pair a lowering spring with the bilstein HD. The HDs are for stock ride height, and the Sports are for lowering springs like the eibach pro kit.

Very important.

The few people that have tried to do HDs with lowering springs have had very poor results.
