Spacers Newbie, Mixed Information, Need Advice...

Sup Guys,

I did several searches and appreciate the information fellow board members have shared with one another. As a result i have received some insight and have decided on 12mm (front) 20mm (rear) with H&R Spacers. From what I've read they appear to be the most reputable for e90'ers. However, while trying to purchase them I noticed there are several different models. There are DR, DR1, DR2, DRA. I also read I need to purchase hub centric spacers?

Does anyone know a site that can tell me the exact model spacers I need?

Additionally, is it wrong to assume that some H&R Spacers come with bolts while other H&R Spacers you have to purchase them separately?

Lastly, what is the least expensive site I can order them from?

Thanks my Brethren,

Always appreciated..

Hub centric spacers are HIGHLY recommended. actually... required.

just make sure you get the right lug pattern which is 5x120.

measure your gap!

edit-usually bolts are included with 10mm or higher spacer size. but of course read the description.

just look for H&R or MS, seems to be forum favorite.

Thanks, I've pretty much decided what size/brand I would like to go with.

I need really need direction on the following;

1. Does anyone know a site that can tell me the exact model spacers I need or provide a link with the specific model i need?

2. So geneally spacers over 10mm come with bolts?

3. What is the least expensive site I can order them from?

What do you guys think about BMS Burger Motorsports Spacers? They have a pretty good deal on 12mm & 18mm for $99 each set including bolts.

If you must get spacers, get the bolt-on type instead of the type that uses extended bolts. The former are safer, in my opinion as an engineer. As an added benefit, you can re-use your OEM bolts.

The BMS spacers are a quality product. Love mine. They are the best spacers I have bought over the years in terms of fit.

Oh, and Dont ever buy spacers that arn't hub centric! its the only way to guarantee that they are centered correctly.

Safer, yes, but they have a minimum size, I'm yet to see anything less than 20mm that is bolt on.

Not necessarily, the OP needs 5 x 120 with a 72.5mm hub... some BMWs are 74.1mm. They aren't interchangeable.

BMS are good. The little bevel on them will make getting them off SO much easier than the H&Rs.

BMS ones don't vibrate. Some other brands do (read: cheap noname) and some people who haven't installed them correctly will report vibrating.
If your hub has rust or anything, clean it and ensure proper contact between wheel - spacer - hub.

Any one have any front pics of an e90 with 12mm or 10mm fronts on 162's?

Ive seen several angles of e90 spacers on 162 but have not found any frontal pictures. I'm concerned about how the front wheels might stick out near the lower front bumper when looking at it from the front.
