N54 Timing issue, 2A89, 2A99 HELP!
Hey guys I need some help with a problem I've been having with my car.
Just a quick history on the nightmare ownership I've had with my 2008 335i. 08 n54 62k miles 6spd jb4 dci no warranty =( So far I've changed the following parts. Rod Bearings- Valve Cover gasket Oil filter housing gasket Rebuilt both turbos A few weeks ago I missed my 1-2nd shift and slightly over revved the car. After this the car jumped timing and I got code 2a89 and 2a99. I took it to a shop and they re did the timing and the car ran fine for about two weeks. Just the other day I accelerated the car to about 5k, shifted to 2nd everything was fine. Then about two miles down the road I got the yellow half engine light and codes 2a89, 2a99. I'm going to take it back to the the shop that fixed it. My question is, what else can I do to keep this from happening? Any help with be appreciated. |
