Police High Speed Chase (Lexus)
On the news today of a High Speed chase involving a Lexus GS I believe.
http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/play...php?cl=3366064 This reminds me of the E90 High Speed Chase that happened before. Correction: It's a Lexus GS. Not an ES as stated previously. Thanks BMWE90. |

Yeah, the E90 was a lot "better", even though this one ended without anyone getting hit or hurt, which I think happened in the E90 chase.

First, I do not condone running away from cops. I pray that when things like that do happen, nobody will be harmed. With that being said, the E90 chase had the fun factor in it. It was on CNN for hours. It was a bit more exciting than this Lexus chase. |

I figured my 325i had a little more gun than the Ford Crown Victoria.
On my way to school once there's a 3rd lane open to the side that merges right after the light. I always hated people that'd weasle in and try to get ahead of everyone. I see a crappy ford coming up, completely unmarked, no lights, no ramming bar, no exempt plate, no nothing. I figure I'll show the jerk what's up. So I kick it into first and floor it leaving the idiot in the dust. I see the guy hauling on me hard, but I got up to maybe like 65mph max anyway. I'm already slowing for the next light like half a mile up anyway. The car pulls up next to me and some douche in a cop uniform is like, PULL OVER! Needless to say I think he got scared that I would get away from him pretty easy. Didn't get sport pack for nothin In the end he let me off because I told him a lot of jerks try to cut everyone off at that merger. He's like, ya ok fine, but don't let me catch you speeding or I will get you for wreckless driving. I swear the cops weren't even legit. I made sure I pulled over in a populated area where people were walking just in case. Never seen a completely under cover cop car before. The guy claimed to be lieutenant. Crazy stuff.

Need for Speed Most Wanted with my Nana on the controller... should have hit the NOS before that bump and drifted a 180 in that corner. Oh wait, real life. Never mind. Dig that ricetastic spoiler though.

335i with procede will definetley pull away, especially considering the braking and handling advantage. those charger cops may have the HP, but they weigh a TON.
i saw an article on a car mag that stacked up the 3 types of cop cars versus like BMWs, Porsches, etc. even the best cop cars just got absoultely hammered. can't outrun a police helicopter or a radio or spike strips no matter how fast your car is, though. |
