Why didn't you lemon the car?
What did you get as a loaner?

I added my loaner info above. Hopefully people will post the same info for their experiences so we can keep track and make sure we're getting similar treatment. I got a 325i loaner. I'm actually on my second 325i loaner after hitting a pot hole and damaging the run flat on the first one.
I didn't say I'm not considering the lemon law. I'm currently negotiating with BMWNA.

Failure Date: 6/15/2007
Symptoms Experienced: Long crank on start-up for 3 weeks followed by 'Engine Malfunction' warning and reduced power
Initial Dealer Estimated Time: Unknown
Total Time Out of Service Since Acquisition: 32 days
Current Dealer Estimated Time: fuel pump replaced 7/17/2007, need to road test
Got a loaner/type: Yes, 328i(1 week), 328i(3 weeks), 328xi(1 week and counting)
Contacted BMW NA: Yes
Current Status: allegedly dealer replaced pump 7/17/2007 and have to road test before I can pick up. Working with BMW NA for compensation and thinking about starting lemon process. I do not feel safe driving a car that stops in the middle of traffic without warning. (My 2nd 328i loaner also died, took me 10 minutes to start it back up in morning rush hour traffic, these BMWs are dangerous cars...)

How could your build date by June '07 and acquistion date by June 8th 07? A car can't get here from Germany that quickly.
If your car really is a June '07, that would be the newest build that I've heard of with trouble. Wow. Sorry to here about the experience at only 630 miles!!!

can you folks also list if it's a sedan and what transmission you have?

I dont have long cranks (not more than 3 or so), but I have to start up twice once in a while.. Hit start, it starts and quickly quits. Hit it again, and it's fine..

I should have never bought one. This car killed my chances of gettin some after my date tonight, because she wasn't too thrilled at the fact I was drivin a half alive car through NYC, and I had to cut the night short by like 3 hours because I needed to get home so I can get the car to the dealer tomorrow morning....

And I was supposed to be in Philly tomorrow around 12...
