Shades of Gray

After searching around on the forum I ended up at Shades of Gray for tinting my e90. The guys did a great job. $180 and I was in and out in 30 mins, I ended up with 20%. Do you think I should have gone darker?

prepare to get pulled over 1x a month, best to have windows rolled down when passing through bridges / tunnels at the bare minimum now

and 20% is dark, looks great

the only way he will get pulled over is if he drives like an ass.. bridges and tunnels I dont understand.. I have had tints as dark as 5s and rarely got pulled over for it.

OP: Car looks great! Good choice

I got mine done at Shades of Gray, 20% as well. They only use Llumar and believe it's a metallic tint. For some reason I don't think mine is that dark, I would of went darker if I knew.

By the way, I drive by that intersection almost everyday lol. Isn't that around 12th street. I think I've seen your car a few times too haha.

@RicheyBMW That's impressive you were able to get the intersection from the pic. Yes that's 12th and Fitzwater.

@infinitigor I don't get the tunnel and bridge thing

Although your comment is true, there ARE LEOs and SP that have nothing to do and search out people with tints! How do I know this?, because I got 2 tint tickets, 100 miles apart from each location by the same freaking cop! What are the chances! . And everytime I get puller over, fucker came out with tint meter in hand! Bastard! BTW, I don't drive like and ass and obey all traffic laws and No...I don't speed, I'm not in a rush to get anywhere...

I had 20% on my e90; I wish I had gone darker because my interior was beige. It didn't look bad tho.

Any tint group buy this summer btw? lol

Looks good. One of the folks at Helix used them as well and was happy with the results. What are people's experience with tint levels and pull-overs. Is there an established level of tint that's low risk?
