OEM M-tech (e92) Diffuser CF replacement??
Id like to say hello to everyone on the forums firstly: first post for me.
I am currently the happy owner of a 2000 BMW 740i; but not for long. I am looking at purchasing a e92 335i coupe in about 2-3 weeks. My mind is already racing with mod ideas and I have been looking over all the posts on the site for about a week now. One major question has come and try as I might I have not been able to find the answer so I decided to bring this up. One of the first things I plan on doing is replacing the rear bumper and putting on some quads along with it. I really like the OEM M-tech kit for the e92 except for the plastic looking diffuser. I was wondering if BMW, or perhaps some after market retailer, makes CF rear diffuser which would fit the OEM M-tech kit. I am thinking something along the lines of a CF diffuser with room for quad pipes which replaces the plastic diffuser that comes with the kit. From searching the forums I have found that there is such a replacement part available for the e90 diffuser, but that does not come ready for quad pipes. I also know that e92kits.com has a quad CF diffuser, but I am assuming that that part only fits their m-tech rear bumper and not the OEM version. Phew… that was a little much, anywhoo- just like to say hi once again, glad to be part of the community and I hope to put up some pics of my new 335 in the coming weeks. |

Yea very true; I am keeping my fingers crossed that when BMW USA brings the Mtech kit here that someone will decide to make a carbon fiber replacement diffuser... for quads mind you hehe...
*breaths deep* I already have a long list of mods but I am getting a little ahead of myself - need to car first 'doh... anywho im going down to the dealer to get a trade in value for my 740i- I am hoping for about 15,000 for it *fingers crossed* I actually have a choice between the e46 m3 or the e92 335i and I know some might call me crazy for opting for the 335i while others will tell me its the smart choice: for me its more of the idea of building up a non M car into something *wow* worthy... thats not to say that the 335i doesn't already start out like that ![]() |
