Too good to be true?

I've been hunting a DSP of some sort on ebay for a while, and missed a couple already.

This listing is for a JL Cleansweep, starting bid of 99p and 2 days left.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1210017976...84.m1423.l2649

I'm a little dubious because the postage is listed at £20 and the seller has 0 feedback...

Any thoughts?

I'd not risk it on sellers with zero feedback, if you are close enough to collect then worth bidding mate

I've seen JL cleansweep for a £100 on talkaudio, they regularly come up on ebay and sell for about the same price, so just keep looking

I was contemplating bidding on this if it was going cheap just to trial it out but something about it is putting me off

It being 99p starting bid, zero feedback seller. I have asked him a couple of quesitions in which he has replied promptly within 20 mins of asking. But the last one is indicating for me not to bid. I asked if I can collect with cash on collection -

The reply was ""yes you can collect but payment will have to be done at end of auction via paypal"

Now this could all be legit but normally when I have asked sellers in the past the answer has always been cash on collection is fine.

For me I am not going to bid but just FYI for those thinking on bidding on this

cash on collection usually will be better for seller , as he got the exact amount without paypal deduct any!

I'm not sure why he want the payment via paypal

+1 on Tak1986 comment.

Buyer benefits more than the seller when using paypal.

If item and/or seller are duds, then paypal gives you some protection.

If your buying via PayPal and follow all the rules your pretty safe. I was sent an 'untested' Apple TimeMachine which turned out to be 'dead on arrival', the seller refused to give me a refund because he had written 'untested' in the advert. It took about 3 weeks but I got all my money back and returned the 'untested' item to them via Royal mail before 10am special delivery all at their cost

Went for £61 + postage in the end.

Maybe I missed out on a bargain, maybe not. £20 postage seems steep, even sent Recorded Delivery it would probably only be half that.

Youre right - my ebay app hadn't updated the final selling price.

I might keep an eye on feedback for this seller just out of interest to see how the sale went through
