Who's getting an '08?

Well I just placed an order for the first '08 e92 to come down in my area. Anyone else deciding if they're getting an '08 or not?

I'm torn between the 135 vs a 335.....I will not decide until I see and test drive the 135.

I placed my ED order just last month for the very last '07 the dealership would do orders for. I was told I'd have to wait at least another month or two if I wanted an '08 since the production facility needed to be closed down to transition between the two MYs. This is all I was told.

I decided to go '07 because I didn't want to wait and I'm thinking there are going to be minimal differences (at least that would matter to me) between '07s and '08s.

This is going to be a daily driver / project car for me so I want it to be somewhat comfortable and want to be able to live with it everyday. That said, I think the 135 is going to be one hell of a car... BUT, it is too small for me. The 3er will take at least me and 3 others somewhat comfortably and I'll be able to get groceries in it (LoL).

The 1 will probably be faster due to the power:weight, but I think I'd get annoyed from driving a small car everyday (just my opinion).

I chose the 3 for practicality.

I just put the for sale sign on my VR-4 today. I will be driving my Honda Accord until I get my 2008 e92 335xi. I am saving money so I can get my payments down to under $630/month over 4 years. I estimate that if the allocation is available I will be able to pick one up between January and March of next year.

Yeah, I am sure the trunk space for the 1er is unbearable.

Waiting for spots to open for the 335 for an 08 over here. There not taking orders right now for the 08 models.

Reason why i went with 08 models instead of 07 is because 07 is a first year production. Even if 08 models are EXACTLY the same as 07 model, you can bet that the 08 will run a little less problems in a 5-10 years down the line compared to 07.

incorrect logic, car manufactures make mid year changes and adapt to problems they see from sold cars. There is little "quality" or "reliability" difference between the last 07 to roll off the line when compared to the first 08.

PLaced an order for 335i July 16th. Dealership says It should arrive mid or end of October. my sales guy also mentioned a price increase of possibly 2%. But he said he will know the actual price increase after Mid August. And like most of you - the wait is killing me, i hate thinking about the car and not having it lol

My dealership also said I have to pay MSRP since the 335i coupe is so hot right now he cant give me any discounts at all except for floor mats and stuff. Anyone experiencing the same thing ?
