Active Autowerke Programmed Xede Updates and FAQ's 08/15/07

Hello Board,

We have been away from the forums for a while and just want to update you guys on a few things. This should answer a lot of questions potential customers have been asking us. If you have any that havent been answered please post them in the thread or contact us if you prefer.

Our current version of Xede software is version R5.

The power is very similiar to our earlier versions except for the fact that we maintain a higher boost level at 12/11 lbs instead of the previous ~10 lbs. The highest level of boost we reach is around 14/15 lbs now instead of the previous 12 lbs. The current map is also referred to as our "ABT" map where we are able to maintain our normal advertised settings without lowering the boost to prevent a CEL or 1/2 power light. We have a good amount of guys on these boards that can chime in on the power.:rocks:

If you guys have any questions or concerns please feel free shoot us a PM or an email. Remember if for some reason we dont reply right away please give us a call we always have some one available for you guys to speak with.

All pending orders have been shipped out and we still have exhaust and BOV kits in stock ready to ship. This shipment is almost sold out so dont miss out.

Omar, I'm a little bit confused about versions. Is the R5 version the new version (1.5) that you've mentioned couple months ago, or is the 1.5 still coming out later?

I got my Xede about three months ago. Supposedly which version would that be?

Thank you.

Looking at AA site Xede produces now +85-100hp. They seem to offer their exhaust with specific exhaust map to go with Xede! Great. That makes 17hp on top of Xede. So I think it is a good time to celebrate for having a car that can be officially put beyond 400 crank hp by simply purchasing one cheap performance package

Personally, I have purchased Procede, and I will salute some more, when Vishnu will be able to do the same.

Hey

It is not the same as what I thought was going to be 1.5, instead our engineers opted to modify it a bit. The advertised 1.5 is still being "tinkered" with at this point and we are switching it up a bit. To be honest it may be a bit too much at this point and we feel the new R5 is going to be the perfect blend of reliability and really good power gains.

As far as your version, please call us or shoot me an email and I will get you updated right away if need be.

Most tuners dont realize that power isnt everything. We dont feel the need to use our customers cars as test beds. We send out the same programming to all of our customers as far as power goes instead of asking them to take a chance with something then detune it later on.

Power + Reliability is the best combination for a car that cost $45k+.

Thanks, Omar.

I guess I'll just connect my laptop to Xede and the XUpdate software should show me what version I have. I couldn't find the link to R5 version on your site though, just R3 downloads are available. Could you please direct me to R5?

Why has nobody chimed in? Who is running the R5 version? How did they get it? Is this the version that comes preloaded on recently purchased Xedes? Have you emailed it to some beta testers? Does this require a harness change?

The customers who have purchased within the past month and half more than likely have the new version. Yes it does come preloaded.

So is there any power increase with the R5? I picked up my Xede about 2 weeks ago and I believe it has R3. Any dyno sheets with R5 available?

Oh btw, im the Xede guy that is also a BMW Tech that Jon was telling you about. No issues with limp or CEL so far and I do "drive" the thing. Great job guys!

Their still fine tuning the v1.5 making it better than it was. As for right now the r5 is the latest 'released' update. You should just shoot Omar an email and I'm sure he'll probably send you the r5 update.

Omar,

I just sent you an email...

Just talked to my sales guy today and he said yes. Omar also said that Xede's that have been sold about a month ago already have the R5 version.

Nope. The power is similiar to the graphs advertised on our website. The red car has the version I am talking about a.k.a R5.

p..s When did I take you for a ride??

Well the AA Xede price will remain at $1200.00 and includes a remote switch to toggle between maps.

You're a bit far from Miami but if there's any issues, (God forbid) then you can always drive there for customer or tech support if over the phone help doesn't work.

Don't keep at looking at peak HP and TRQ numbers. There's more than that like the curves on the dyno sheet, reliability of the software, and customer/tech support.
