Any experience with [Unique Wheel Repair]? And curb rash question..

Hey guys I have a 3-4" curb rash on the outer edge of my wheel. It probably wouldn't even look that bad once I cleaned it up, but I want to fix it.

I called around a few places, some haven't returned my calls, but this guy out in Matawan, NJ that has a mobile service quoted me $75 to pick up the wheel in the morning and drop it off in the afternoon. He said they would have to resurface the entire wheel. I thought that only the specific area would be touched up. I don't know how I feel about repainting it and then it not matching my other wheels.

What do you guys think? Is that standard procedure? Have you guys ever dealt with this company? Please feel free to suggest another mobile repair company. I'd rather it get fixed at my house and not taken away. If you guys mention Alloy Wheel Repair Services, I've called them, left them voicemails, emails, and nothing. Thanks.

Did you clean the white dust off yet? Being silver... It will be hardly noticeable.

Yea I would definitely try to clean it up yourself first then take it from there. But most companies that know what they're doing will match the finish and texture perfectly. No personal experience w the co you've stated but had wheels refinished before and came out great.

I had some curb rash, and had it fixed at the dealer. It's been about 2 months, and I notice some discoloration around the rash area. I might bring it back so they can look at it. It's not really that bad, just annoys me when I clean the rim and I see it.

I haven't really tried to clean it off with like rubbing compound, but I did wipe it with quick detailer and it didn't make it look any better.

The rash doesnt look that bad.
However, I saw a note at my SA desk which says that BMW fixes curb rash. Do check with your dealership first.
