BMW I-Drive Navigation System Australia/New Zealand Maps
Hi guys,
Would anyone be willing to lend me their latest CCC DVD-Based BMW Professional navigation disc to load in my BMW? BMW want $600 for the latest navigation disc Wtf I also think this thread would be good for others if they are interested in upgrading their maps as well. I'm from the Inner West but I am willing to travel. Would also be happy to do long distance rental that is no problem. I am leaning towards the latest of the CCC nav disc which I think would be out of 2008 or 2009 car. Thanks in advance! Regards, Robert |

picking up my car on sat and it's a 2008 model can you tell me what disc you asked about at BMW, i might try my luck and ask the dealer to provide me one but he's already put new tyres on and it's not even that worn so i doubt he'll do disc as well |

Yup just download the file, extract, and burn. You don't have burn it with a DVD disc, a regular 700mb CD is sufficient.

I'm downloading the one from the link.
Hoping it will work with my LCI CCC business nav. I've done lots of searching many times and never found anything post 2009 for this combination.

I have compared with my genuine v14 disc and the v16 disc I am current using and also given to Robert and here are the info.
v14: Siemens VDO Automotive AG SV I IS NM RD DB Content Volume: CD_6181 Date: 4.9.2007 db: AU(2007Q1) Area: Australia Supplier: Sensis Version: 505.93.751.1.84 Customer: 318766629 Features: ZIP3kb feaV10(BMW) pti(BMW) TPD: 2007080214 (date: 20070809) TMC: no Phoneme: no DBAL: V1.14V2.12V3.0V4.7V5.5 v16: Continental Automotive GmbH I IC RD G SW NM DB Content Volume: CD_6978 Date: 6.8.2009 db: AUNZ(2009Q1) Area: Australia + New Zealand Supplier: Teleatlas Version: 505.99.953.2.84 Customer: 318766572 Customer Info: BMW Features: ZIP3kb feaB6(BMW) pti(BMW) TPD: 2009075015 TMC: no Phoneme: no DBAL: V1.15V2.13V3.0V4.8V5.6V6.1V7.1 I think its fair to say this is a v16 and uses the 2009 map database, and BMW sells it as a v16 2010 map disc. If any of you guys have a v15 disc, please have a look at your cdrom.toc file, and possibly share the contents in the .toc file. To open the cdrom.toc file.. - right click on cdrom.toc - open / open with - select 'wordpad' to open with (if you don't want windows to open the .toc extension with wordpad in the future, untick the box at the bottom)

Thanks for today Allan it was a pleasure speaking to you, much appreciated. I will sustain with the current discs until my parents change over to a 4 series and the next generation X5. If I was able to give out rep points I wouldn't hesitate at all in giving you one.
Stealthy looking 335i you got there +1 BMW Performance exhaust is definitely a must for a BMW I wish it was available on the E60 and E70. |
