Gauges before mods?
I was wondering what you all thought, theory wise, about having all your boost gauges and AF gauges up and running before you start modding. Do you personally use them to monitor improvement, problems, or use them for tunning purposes.
Anyone can slap on parts, but will everything work together especially different brands to bring a well tuned car without gauges? |

I use them to monitor improvements or problems. Thus my part of the tuning is restricted to select and bolt on hardware or update PROcede firmware/maps I won't say I use them for tuning purposes.
The gauges help to measure if everything is working fine and as expected. Eugen |

Ive always put on gauges before modding. This way I can tell which mod increased or decreased peformance. Plus you can get a good idea of when things arent running right in general.

That's what I did in my GTI as well. I put in gauges before doing anything. But with developements still in the process do you think it would be a danger to wait to install things, or should we just bite the bullet and wait to mod?
