What's the right drop?!
I'm not sure if my car looks too low?!
I wanted it decked but not sure if its too far. Looking at replacing shocks and might do the springs aswell.... UK roads don't help as i seem to feel every pot hole!! |

Pictures are H&R springs on standard shocks. Looking at the Koni FSD's and wondering if its worth getting some Eibach springs to replace the H&R's
However, I'm reluctant to admit defeat with the H&R's!! |

Personally, I would raise the rear slightly so that you have the same gap at both ends of the car. I like the look of a level car.
However, it looks bloody great. Makes me want to lower mine.. Last edited by Ste133; 02-15-2013 at 10:26 AM.. |

I've had the rear arches rolled and there is no rubbing now even with 275 tyres, it bottoms out a bit over speed bumps but nothing serious....
The Koni FSD shocks come in around £540 the standard Koni sports are about £470. Although seen some bargain second hand ones come up in the classifieds. So may just bide my time. The handling is awesome on a decent bit of road. With all the cold weather and rain decent roads are few and far between!! Sportplus the alloys are Cades Apollo's, A P on here mentioned on another thread of mine he has a set knocking around if you fancied some.... |

They are the lowest of the low! Not sure if they are sport or something else.
Thanks for all the reassurance! All the negative comments from people who don't know shit were starting to get to me.... |

They are the 60/40 H&R's I'll have to take a look at the box to confirm whether they are just the sport springs. They definitely drop it as much as they say they do!!

Dont like the look of the rear. Never a fan when there is no gap between arch and tyre. Looks like the suspension has collapsed.
I would do whatever makes the car most comfortable to drive, while still providing the performance you are after. |

Greg, keep that height/drop. If you want upgraded components, Koni's are great. or else coilovers. OR ELSE AIR SUSPENSION........................... ORRRRRRR ELSEEEEEEEEEEEE HYDRAULYICS!!!!
But seriously, perfect drop! |

I think it looks spot on I would have said with a drop like that they must be the race ones. The sports lower about 35/20mm or somewhere around there. What's the ride quality like? I've been thinking about a set for mine but I don't want to ruin the ride

Thanks guys I'm sticking with it and may go with coilovers instead of the koni's. but whatever happens it will stay low....
Ride was on just the springs is ok. You feel the bumps a lot and it can be quite frustrating. However, I don't use it everyday and these negatives are out weighed by the positives when you're on a decent bit of rode and its just glued to the road! |
