In a pickle , Xenon Level sensor wiring help

I've definitely got some faulty wiring on my rear level sensor. I have replaced with a brand new one and still I have an error.
Plugged into INPA and the sensor is showing out of range.

I have taken the sensor off this evening and with the laptop connected rotated the sensor , just in case it was one of these cases where it's possible to get the sensor the wrong way round and it's still saying out of range.

The issue I face is because the front one works it's sensing that the rear is low so tilts the headlights up. Then 20 minutes later it works out that the sensor is not working and then dips the lights to a default fault type level , which is ok

The issue is that I cannot manually wind the lights down to an acceptable level because 20 mins later it will point them at the floor. So I am stuck , the only thing I can think of doing is to put a faulty sensor at the front too so the system doesn't work at all. ( unless there is a way to disable it in the software?)

The question is , where does this wiring go ? I need to find a point at which there is a connection so I can bell out the wiring . I have had the whole boot lining out and the rear N/S passenger seat to see where it goes but I cannot track it for the life of me. ( it comes out somewhere near the rear suspension but actually seeing the wire is ..well
I know it goes to the 'footwell module' but have no idea how to access this module and if it indeed is plug and socketed between the module and the sensor.
