bought jb4, do i need to buy CAI?
so i was wondering if i should but a cai that are made for our cars. i recenetly bought a jb4 and bov kit. i already have ar design catless dp's and bastuck exhaust. Will i notice a diff if i buy the intakes or is a high flor filter enough? i know there has been many posts but i couldnt find a confirmed answer and of course as years go on, new technology and new items/parts become available. also with the upgraded intakes, i feel like there are just sucking up hotter air so wouldnt the pros cancel out because the air is now hotter? my next mod also would be the VRSF 7inch FMIC. so im debating to get that or an intake first? thanks for all the help!

You don't NEED it because out oem ones are pretty effective and heat soak protected but a dci with a good tune together will pair up well. Not to mention the cool sound you'll get from it

The DCI sounds addictive, especially with the JB4...

You can really hear a difference with having dci? And also you were saying heat soaking but even with a tune wudnt there be heat soaking still? And make the dci not effective?

These cars heat soak relatively quickly, but a good FMIC will take care of that.
If you want to save money throw on a DCI and get the FMIC, or; Grab the FMIC and remain stock filter until you save enough for a true CAI. You notice the difference in that temps can stay lower and longer and gains will be more (not significant) but hey, I always preferred nice dense cold air over hot. Cheers |

Do an FMIC. An intake isn't really that important to be honest. If you get one, I would get a DCI if you like the suction sound, if not get a drop in filter. I have had both and prefer a drop in, but both get the job done.
