Special thanks to Lenny@ Renntech Tomas@ Renntech Ryan @ aFe Power Storm @ cP-e and no, I am not done, consistency was the objective here, now time to start working on the speed traps and that little secret on the DCT 335is I am keeping to myself Last edited by BQTuning; 03-09-2013 at 03:45 AM.. |

Nice runs BuraQ, the car is a beast! What fuel are you running? Are thse Nt555's the best tire for the track and street for you? You got some pretty good launches!

For all intents an purposes e85 is race gas. Let's not start filling our tanks with e85 and then parading around declaring outrageous numbers(whether it be dyno or track) and declaring it to be "pump gas."

Race gas is found only at speed shops and is >$6.00/gal. The main difference is, "race gas" times aren't indicative of what the car would run on the street. E85 is an all day, every day setup. But yes, I always say "pump e85", as it is clearly better than 93. |

Quick comment on E85 regardless of where you come down on its use. I use it in a 93octane mix. It is NOT available everywhere by a long shot. Raleigh/Durham with a population of over 1 million has two stations that pump E85 & only a few other stations in the entire state have E85. There is one station in Cary about a 35 mile round trip that sells 100 octane & I believe all the rest of the 100 outlets are at the tracks.
I live on the other side of Raleigh from the Crown station & its a 20 mile round trip.

Wow, just got caught up on this thread! BuraQ has been nothing but a help for me launching DCT.
I am excited with the potential of "my" particular tune, however wouldn't claim it to be the best. For the record I am down for a challenge as long as there is $ involved, lol

BuraQ i challenge you to another duel when i get my car back, this time with me driving, not my gf lol
the funny thing is that at least the core group of us down here that actually run our cars all get along and help each other every day regardless of tune. Much love to all my SOuth FL bimmer peeps, you know who you are <3

BuraQ, ignore the fanboi's you deserve credit for doing things differently and not following the herd of sheep. Great runs. I'd love to see what you could achieve running 18psi peak but I think you're in that sweet spot right now where traction is less of an issue.
Btw, do you have any dyno runs with your current mods? |
