Wastegate adjustment revolutions?

Hey guys, I started getting an 03FF target boost unachievable and I had extreme wastegate rattle, so I tightened my wastegate 3 revolutions, I started her up and checked the sound after every revolution. After 3 turns it is still extremely bad, should I keep going by half a rotation or what? This is only temporary until I upgrade..

How many miles? Anyone under 80k or with CPO that can get 30FF code gets new turbos.

Well I tightened it another half a revolution with no luck, car still gets 03FF codes when I'm going WOT in third gear, I've checked for boost leaks and all my piping and clamps are tight....looks like I may need to get turbos sooner rather than later

if the WGs are shot in the turbo than you need to change them. nothing you can do about it. happened many times.
time to ship them to Vargas for upgrade.

My wastegates rattle like crazy and it pisses me off. I'm at 45k miles and I took my car to the dealership but they said they couldn't do anything for me because I didn't have the under boost code. Could turning the nuts on the actuator arms trip the code? Or is there anyway I could fix this stupid rattle?

Well I turned mine 4 revolutions with nothing, if you loosened it they could for sure tell, I wouldn't try to make it worse. Just wait, it will get worse I promise lol

You don't need any codes. Go to another dealer.

I agree, keep bugging the dealer. I did not have codes and they changed mine based on the sound.

every dealer is different, but the pestering might be worth it.
