AMS IC installed! Loving my car even more now!

Spent several hours Friday evening swapping in my new AMS fmic. It was a real bitch if a job doing it solo but after many cuss words, several dremel wheels, a ratchet dropped in the top of my head 3x and lots of cuts, scrapes and even rolling over the back of my bicep with my creeper..... It went in!

The most difficult part was definitely getting the hoses on and supporting it under the car solo.

The car pulls so strong. Could be placebo but with my JB4 G5, e85 blend and other mods I can definitely feel more sustained and smooth power.

Once I got those hose on and the thing screwed in it lined up perfectly. I'm a little surprised the only thing holding it in is 2 screws into a plastic shroud and the hoses.

All in all I am totally satisfied and pleased. High quality product...beautiful welds, solid as a rock.

My body is so sore from working on my back like that and contorting into weird positions but feels good to DIY!

Awesome! I'm currently plotting downpipes and FMIC ... can't wait for the same feeling!

I'm not the most mechanical person. I've been learning and this is my new hobby, passion whatever you want to call it.

My biggest lesson learned is to take breaks and be calm. I flipped out a few rimes when I looked at the old fmic laying there with the clamps dremel'd off and the thought that I may not be able to complete the job. LOL!

Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend AMS although I am biased.

I feel ya - I did the FMIC on Friday and the DP's the Friday before. Fortunately I at least had a lift for the DP's.....

Congrats! I have the AMS FMIC and i love how the car feels with it. Much more responsive and it changed the exhaust tone a bit with the Cobb 1+ tune.
