New car
So finally changed my car!
I've had a e90 320d msport for just under a year and have wanted to go back to the beautiful sound of the 6 cylinder for a while as I'm not doin the miles to warrant a diesel now Part exchanged my car in for a e90 330i msport which I pick up next tues, opted for the auto as I do mainly town driving and changing gear constantly is annoying It doesn't have hands free phone Bluetooth ...... Any recommendations? Also rear tyres will need replacing in a few months they are the standard 18inch mv3's ......any recommendations? |

For Bluetooth I recomend the Parrot MKi9100
I have this in my car, and having wired the Line out from the Mki9100 to the AUX in port, streaming music via Bluetooth is awesome! |

a cheaper alternative is the belkin aircast.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Car-A.../dp/B004FNYQZ8 Does the job really well for me, connects every time and quality of the music and handsfree is top notch.

I've been seriously looking at changing my diesel for a 330i, I only do 5000 miles a year and 3 out of 4 of my journeys are only about a mile!
I'd be interested to hear your opinion on the car once you get it and how well the engine performs with an auto box. |

Good choice of car and engine ;-)
I love my 330i auto although mpg around town is pretty dire - 23mpg ish I get and I only do short trips in and out of town. Usually able to manage 34mpg on a long motorway run. |

The whole twin turbo complexity of the 335i puts me off. I'd be interested to know what the throttle response of a n/a 330i is like, and whether an auto box smothers this. And I wish people would stop saying how good they sound, I can still remember the wail at high revs from my 328i ten years ago! |

I got a 330i manual in the last couple of months.
As has been said in the other post economy good on a run but dire around town. No worse than my 328 Sport Manual I had a few years back. Given the car is probably 20% heavier with 80 bhp more I dont think I'm doing to bad. I found my 328 quite quiet from the inside I find I can here the 330 a little louder which is no bad thing. |

So had my e90 330 I msport a week now and I'm well happy with
It does drink fuel for fun but to be fair didn't buy it for economy plus coming from a e90 320d it prob seems worse as that was really good on fuel Put £50 in it and got 250 miles, 70% motorway averaging 90 mph and % 30 town Put £40 in it and got 170 miles 100% town driving short trips I had 17 inch wheels on my last e90 but this has the 18 inch mv3 non run flats and to be fair the ride quality is still good little bumpier ride but the roads are shite round my way Having all wheels refurbished tomorrow, decided to buy brand new centre caps from main dealer as I read to many reports of the ones off eBay falling out or just spinning round in the wheel. Also having a parrot mki9000 hands free fitted next week and my black line style rear lights Last edited by fletch8; 04-07-2013 at 03:11 PM.. |

I've had 'ebay' centre caps before and been dissapointed, only get from BMW now.
If you don't do many miles in a year, the lower fuel consumption is worth it IMO to have a great sounding straight-six + the extra performance (I assume?) over even a mapped 320d. |
