Vessel: COURAGE departs 9/10/07 (Voyage: EB737-COG)

The vessel COURAGE departs Bremerhaven, Germany on 9/10/2007 loaded to the brim with autos, including my 2008 e92 (unless, of course, something goes horribly wrong between now and departure).

It will take 2 days to get everything cleared, loaded and depart for the US. I'll be waiting for it to get to Charleston, SC on 9/29/2007 (or thereabouts).

Anyone with a new Bimmer that finished production in Germany recently that didn't get on the LIBERTY will likely be on the COURAGE (just the US East Coast deliveries anyway).

To see if your car is on it, go to http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/, and select Auto Cargo from the list at the right. Enter your full VIN in the Cargo ID field, then click Track to see if you've been loaded on the ship. The site is very good about giving realtime details, but it takes a couple of days for your car to show up if you are on the ship, so it should start reflecting the details between 9/11 and 9/13, depending on when your car is loaded.

I just realized if you zoom out a bit you can see just how many cars are queued up to get loaded in Bremerhaven. There's the lot adjacent to the ships, then there's another huge lot across the road to the North AND a big lot to the West. Yikes!

I hope I make it on this ship!!!

I'm staying positive here...

+ A lot of cars are imported into the country through Bremerhaven. American and Japanese cars.
+ Not all cars are US bound. A good percentage is but not the entire ship yard
+ Remember the BMW plant was closed for 2 weeks in August and our cars are the first to roll off since the summer shutdown
+ The google satellite image is old. Check out the webcam link below. The parking deck is for BMW. Looks pretty empty now.
+ From photos I've seen, when a W&W ship goes with a BMW on it. It seems the whole thing is filled with BMWs.

? I don't know what other German automakers export through this port though.
? How many cars are in front of us? Enough to fill the ship?

ME: I'm supposedly in transport to the port now. Can I make the boat?

Excellent info mstnggt66 -- my guess is that since your Bimmer is in transit, you'll make it on the boat prior to departure on 9/10. My CA told me the trip from Regensberg to Bremerhaven is 2 days tops including loading and unloading, so unless something gets mixed up or there are too many cars in line, you should be on this ship...

If you look at the webcam at www.blg.de, there are a lot of cars parked on the BMW deck. With a little bit of luck, both of our cars are sitting on there now.

my car was completed yesterday... any idea of when you guys think it will catch a ship? i noticed your cars have been completed since 9/3 and youre still waiting so i'm assuming it wont be for another week?

I should only take a couple days to get to the port of departure, so our cars were probably there for a few days now. The next departing vessel is the COURAGE, so hopefully we'll be on that one. Otherwise, the next one (for my destination port) is the INTEGRITY about a week later.

I'm not sure what the queue looks like at the port, so only time will tell...

If you look at the webcam, about half of the top level of the parking deck is empty. They're definitely loading cars onto the ship.

Anyone know when the W&W website updates tracking information? i.e. as cars are booked, loaded, ship sets sail?
