I have 17 run flats and wish to get 18 193 wheels but none around at moment any one want to sell let me me know
,I just rang up to order replicA ones and found out the after market ones can't have run flats i didn't know only certan rims are for run flats so do I need the oem ones to have run flats ? i just figured all rims take run flats, now my delema is lll need a spare if i get replica ones What do you guys do most if u have after market wheels with coupes ? Do u carry a spare? I don't really want to carry a spare And does any one know if u have aftermarket they said the tyre pressure monitor doesn't work , does this mean u can reset the alert once or will it alert all the time ? |

Excuse the noob questions but I am looking to running aftermarket wheels and ditching the RFTs also. So after the switch, do you simply set the TPMS just as you do when running RFTs? And everything works the same?

Just to clear some things up in this thread:
* Whilst you can mount RFT on aftermarket wheels, you can not use the tyres when flat on aftermarket wheels. The wheels lack a special 'lip' that is designed to keep the tyre on when flat. Therefore feel free to mount RFTs or non-RFTs on aftermarket rims, however in the event of a flat you will not be able to drive around any more than regular tyres on regular wheels * Aus cars do not have 'TPMS' like the US guys do. Our tyre pressures are monitored via the ABS system. This is not affected at all by brand or tyre More info here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=720790 |
