To those who have had their DPF removed; what have you told your insurance company, if anything?

I had mine gutted and just thought since I didn't mention it on my insurance policy I guess technically they could decide to not cover my car if I were to get in an accident and they found out somehow..?

Dont think its officially a mod or performance enhancement.

You naughty,naughty boy!

It's highly unlikely that a policy would be voided due to you failing to disclose such a modification.
In a worst case scenario,should the gutted DPF be discovered by a forensic motoring detective,the premium would be recalculated based on risk (not that there is any), and you would be asked to pay whatever the difference between what you were originally quoted,and what the new premium amounts to.

However you couch the modification to an insurer,you can guarantee it will cost you more money, and for what?

Anyway,how do you find the extra power?
