Ongoing coding failures - is my car being awkward?
So now two seperate people - a forum member and independent BMW specialist - have tried coding my Base HU to Hifi, and both times not been able to via the OBD port. The car is a 2010 LCI with factory bluetooth.
Just got back from the indy this morning and sat with him whilst he tried to retrofit hifi and also my Dension iPod kit - both times failing. The autologic box did say there's a lot of updates for various things needed, and he suggested getting all those done at BMW before trying again. Is this a common happening? Makkan who tried coding previously suggested that hifi might need to be done via the fibre connections. It's just a bit weird that the options are there but Autologic throws up so many errors and overdue updates. Looks like that next trip to BMW might happen sooner rather than later. |
