Hi there!!
So as the topic says, i'm planning to buy a E36 320i for track & occasional road use... ![]() Can u guys tell me if there's anything to be careful about when i'm having a test drive with the car? Is the motor know for having special diseases ??? Thanks so much for your help... ![]() I can't wait to grow my bimmer garage ![]() ![]() |

Definitely check for subframe and rear shock mount tears. The coolant system is made of cheap plastic parts that will fail eventually, so keep an eye on that.

Like everyone said, rear subframes are an issue, as well as the cooling system. I would recommend replacing the entire cooling system right off the bat, as well as all your bushings and checking the rear subframe. I replaced my E36 track rat with a Stewart pump and after many track events it still held up just fine.
