DECA Skid pan & Race track photos.
Last weekends Melbourne meet had a great turnout, with some very nice cars attending. This got me thinking about organising a DECA Skid Pan & Track day but this time with some of the guys from this forum.
The day its self is organised via the BMW Car Club Victoria and from memory the next event will be at then end of this year, but the date is yet to be announced. It's held out in Shepparton at DECA's driver training complex which is a good 2 1/2 hours out of Melbourne. But well worth the drive. Entry fee is $150 dollars and is open to non BMWCCV members. The race track its self is nothing special, its a tight and technical track. Along the back straight I hit 165 in our 335I so its nothing like Sandown or Phillip Island. The skid pan is great fun, they organise different motorkhana courses on the 3 pans and at then end of the day they wet the pan down and you get to try and drift in a big circle Next time I head up Im putting some crappy spare tires on the back and not chewing up the good ones. Here are some photo's of our 335I, I apologise for that water mark in advance. The rest of the photos are located here- http://imajessphotography.smugmug.co...2848&k=P4c78DJ |

I love your car mate it looks fantastic! The M3 video looks like a heap of fun, this is exactly the type of event I would love to do in my car (no helmet and a Hawaiian shirt!?!) |
