Cobb PTF etune gains verus OTS Maps?

I was wondering if anyone had actual data showing the gains from an OTS map to an etune map? I am also wondering if it would be worth it for my car?

335i 6MT
BMS DCI
Aftermarket Intercooler
Catless Downpipes

Would that put me at stage 2+ or do I need the cat back exhaust?
Currently only have the DCI in and I am running Stage1 aggressive maps and they feel good but I miss the RB turbo pull to redline that my old 335i had..
I mean with those mods only could I see near 400rwhp on 93 octane and the etune? If so that should be all I need for a long while.

I have the same mods as you and was considering an etune from ptf. I'm already using the OTS stage 2+ agg tune for UK super unleaded and was wondering if there'd be much gain.

Lets put it this way, the OTS maps would be considered conservative compared to what the PTF PROtuning via eTuning can do

If there was no significant gains I would not be going the Cobb PROtuning by PTF route

Depends on the car and dme, but overall as buraq said the ots are very conservative and wont match a specific car 100% so protune will definetely make the whole tune perfect.

Don't suppose Dennzo and Jake do forum discounts do they? Just need to tweak my M3 subframe / diff install and then I'm good to go.

You've kinda sold me on the pro tune idea!

Well worth it from the results I've seen on the forum. I'm planning to get Protuned this winter when the weather is cooler. Not sure if the weather has any effect, I'm sure the DME compensates, maybe someone can confirm.

Thanks for the kind words guys! We really do strive to offer up a tune that our customers have no second thoughts about.

I will try to get some of our comparo's up. I am waiting on a ton of dyno files from our operator.

Over the weekend I tuned 2 more cars.

The first was a 2008 e92 335i AWD with FBO including a Walbro intank pump upgrade. We were able to pull 427awhp and 472awtq out of this beast. The car has low miles so its in great engine health. Perfect specimen of an n54!!

The second car was a 2008 (I think) 135i with Vargas Stage 2 Turbos running a 1mm nozzle and 0.9mm nozzle (I've asked him to go to 3 1mm nozzles) and 100% meth. On this car we ran conservative boost as he wanted it tuned as a daily driver and not for all out numbers. We peaked at 19.06psi I believe and tapered quickly down to about 14-15psi at redline. The car made 472rwhp and 498rwtq.

We dyno'd one of our shop cars BONE STOCK before any modifications or tunes had ever been put on. The car made 271whp and 281wtq in the middle of winter.

The following is a 2011 6mt 335is with FBO and intank walbro. The night before this dyno I trapped 122.6 in the car full weight on stock wheel setup. The car has at least another 1mph in it as I was short shifting out of first and second trying to keep the rear end off the wall (and doing so very proactively since it was the customers car and not our shop car!!).

Cool! Will you do a dyno run before and after? It might push me to get off my backside and organise an etune too!

Not that this surprises me with how highly ya'll are regarded, but those are great numbers and curves Jake. I need to get in touch with you soon about a protune and LPFP solution, I want to get some more ethanol in my N54's life, E30 is getting boring haha.

Stage 1 Cobb Agg PTF pro E-tuned

I have an 08 335I that Jake is working on via E-tuning and I am very pleased with the results.
He takes his time with the process as he has sent me four revisions already!
I am convinced that the final product is going to bring a smile to my face everytime I go WOT!
At first I thought it is too expensive, however after realizing the amount and quality of his work,I would say it's a bargain!
Thanks, Jake!

I am in the process of booking time in north new jersey to do between 3-5 tunes. I have 3 guys lined up already so I need to call the two shops and see who can accomodate. I forget the name of one of the shops. Turbotrix? maybe...the other is Krazy House Kustoms. I will be calling them today or tomorrow to set it up.

I am trying to get up there June 13th in the late evening and tune all day friday and saturday.
