nah man, thats v8 and amg is a wild beast. My cuz had c63 amg and that thing was a handful and besides your manual loses a bit of boost compared to auto if I am not mistaken

It makes some pretty monster power numbers (500 or so crank horsepower), but is also held back by some serious curb weight (over 4,300lbs). TBH I don't know how fast Stg1 aggressive cars run the 1/4 in, but I would say you're probably in trouble. I doubt the Merc would walk away, but it's likely faster.

Edit: and you're an XI so you're seeing greater drivetrain loss, yea I doubt you'd win this one. All the AMGs make pretty beastly power.

I raced one and basically the sl55 amg was a bit faster with tune only.
I was about even with DP and intake + tune, and faster with intercooler and GIAC Stage II

FBO you should beat it, your car is lighter and the power difference isn't as steep. In fact your wtq is probably in the same ballpark at that point.

Doesn't look like you are FBO, so still no chance. I recall some 135 owners with Stage II and FBO were up to 405 whp.

FBO you should feel pretty good about that matchup, add meth and/or E85 mixtures and I gotta think you'd win comfortably. These motors are extremely octane hungry as you up the timing and boost.

Stock one yes. A modded one it gets tricky.

Was just going to say the same thing. E85/Meth in the mid range will compete and or beat most cars.

You for sure need to get all your FBO in place first to even make a run.

FBO on stage 2+ agg should be faster.

I would go FBO, then fill with E85 or 100octane race gas and load the race map, then you are comfortably faster

I raced the v12 supercharged one and beat him. His car was tuned and had like 700 lbs torque! He was at a local performance shop that I was at. I rode in his car and seemed pretty quick. We raced from 20 to 100 and I beat him by a car length. Not sure about a quarter mile, I was really surprised I beat him, he was pissed and wouldnt pull over to even talk afterwards. Im g5 with 40% e85 and DP's...

Funny side note, before we raced he asked me what was the difference between the 335i and the 328 bmw. As if my car was just an afterthought in terms of speed. He was a rich kid, his other car is the corvette Z51. Needless to say beating a spoiled rich kid who was basically mocking my car made my day!

It is most excellent that you were able to shut that kid up, but TBH if you beat an SL65 from a roll, the driver must have been mistaking the brake for the throttle. No way in hell a stock turbo, OE FMIC, non-meth E9x is pulling on one of those monsters. They have overwhelming amounts of tq, and seriously brush against supercar performance figures. But that really is an awesome kill either way, now he'll learn what N54s can do.
