Wheel Mounting Pins

Where can I purchase pins that fit into the lug bolt holes in the hub to aid in sliding on the wheel in the correct orientation to line up for the lug bolts?

My Audi used to have a plastic pin in the tool box for this, but it finally got old and snapped.

Any suggestions?

Mike

I've definitely seen them around; try Bavarian Autosport. I think they call them "wheel alignment pins".

From your BM dealer- part # 71-11-1-093-774, and it's only about $5.

Reviving this thread:

So I was at my BMW dealership earlier today and was talking to the Dinan salesman about the Dinan aftermarket rims... and i told him I was interested in getting some aftermarket rims and he told me that they would not recommend aftermarket rims (other than Dinan, of course) because they have some kind of ALIGNMENT PIN that most aftermarket rims do not come with -- as a result they have had problems with aftermarket rims wobbling...

is that what this thread is about? How are you guys getting around this problem? Or is it just some BS that the ignorant salesman told me?

ok thats what i thought... so there are NO problems with using aftermarket rims? no complications or adjustments that have to be made? They are pretty much plug and play (discounting those rims that need some fender-rolling)?
