Smile More OpenFlash Dynos (OTS Stg 0 and Stg 1 maps)

Hi guys,
More OpenFlash/OTS map testing today. Same dyno facilty as always (DNR Performance in Hayward CA). Same dyno used yesterday by joec500 when his DCI-only car was tested in this thread.

First up today was walker16's bone stock 2010 6AT (50k miles). It is stock right down to the intake. Running 91oct. It baselined, on another dynojet which reads identically, at 268whp. Running or new Stage 0 OTS map (Designed for those who want a more conservative tune), it put down 347whp and 390lb-ft. But more importantly, the map controlled boost without a hint of oscillation or spiking. In fact, up to 4000rpm, it looks like the torque curve was hand drawn with a ruler

After that we tested Hellblazer's DCI-only 2008 6MT (80k miles). It's actually due for some replacement injectors since only one bank was replaced by the dealership last year. And the original injectors in the other bank are making cold start pretty crappy. But on the dyno, she still produced the numbers. Running the same Stg1 OTS map as Joec500 did yesterday, it put down over 360whp and over 400lbft of torque. And it did so with very good run to run consistency and boost stability.

Also interesting is that I sent our OpenFlash Stg1 OTS map to jpsimon to test in his FBO 335xi with Vargas Stg 2 upgraded twins. And I think he will have some interesting info/video to disclose tomorrow

Hope everyone is having a good week. We will finally start taking orders for the OpenFlash Tablet at midnight tonight from our website (www.procedetuning.com). All orders placed will ship by this upcoming Monday.

Cheers,
shiv

Great, now I've gotta stay up until 2am. Work is gonna suck tomorrow haha. Looking good so far! That torque curve is similar to the factory curve from BMW, FLAT.

Go to sleep Alex I have nearly 200 Tablets coming in. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Haha, I know. How far are you on the 1M tables? Any place I can start and try to help?

Those are some nice runs.

If those are your stage 0,1 tunes. Do you have more stages?

Also do you have tunes that work with meth and a mixture of gasoline and e85?

Sure... here is some stuff to keep you going until I completely finish the XDF file:

The Timing (main) is 20x16. Cell data size is 1 byte. Starts at 62A3A. Divide by 2 to convert cell data to ignition advance (1/2 deg resolution).

Both bank 1 and bank 2 Fuel tables are 18x17. 2 byte cell data size. They start at 70C50 and 70F60. Multiply cell data by 0.00024414 to get lambda value. Then multiply again by 14.7 to convert to AFR.

Both 6AT and 6MT Load targets tables are 1x16. 2 byte cell data size. They start at 7337A and 73256. Divide value by 100 to get typical MSD80 load channel scaling.

We will have higher Stage maps coming out soon. As well as E30-E50 maps. There is really no way to safely support (good failsafe) and effectively tune (aggressive!) methanol with a flash-only solution. You'll need a Procede for that. For flash only guys, it's best to stick to e85 mixes IMHO.

lol.. it's nothing that you guys have to work on. But it is the work I have to go through to develop XDF files for each software version. And the more defined our XDF files yet, the longer it takes me. Which is why we are limited initial OpenFlash support to IJEOS and I8AOS software versions (basically any standard 300hp 135/335/535 that has gotten a dealership software update in the past 1-1.5 years). Which is about 99% of you guys

335is, 1M, 340hp z4, etc,. support will come soon. Didn't want to bite off more than we can chew for the initial launch!

I'm thankful for people like you. I can tune pretty well and read logs like it's my job. But it's all the behind the scenes decoding and defining i dont get. Thanks for spending the time and doing this. This is a huge advancement for this platform. Can't wait to see what only a year of this type of tuning brings

I searched but didn't really find what I wanted. how does the tablet compare to the procede? I almost went with the cobb ap but price killed it.
power wise, which option would match that on the procede? im only seeing 2 auto tune options.
I just purchased a rev2 that I have intentions of upgrading to rev 2.5
just would like to do this once.

For a basic pump gas tune, you'll make the same power whether you have a Procede or OTS OpenFlash. It's only when you start running race gas and/or e85 mixes does the Procede pull ahead since it's capable of targeting higher boost pressures. But I highly suggest upgrading the Rev2 to a Rev2.5 since it allows you to running current Procede maps which are quite nice. If you bump into any limitations with the Procede, you can always run the OpenFlash Tablet with it and have the best of both worlds.

How much maximum boost can you run with Open Flash? Does it support an N20 TMAP sensor?

I'm sure its written somewhere but when this is stacked with the procede can you link the Openflash OTS maps to the maps on the procede for easy switching?

Also are we able to flash your e85 flash to the car at no additional cost?

Excellent, thanks! I'll start looking into it. I see settings for the PID control of WGDC. Very interested in looking at their logic for this. I imagine there are PID settings for lambda too?

Great development: looks like we'll be switching away from selling the Cobb AP. Those first results are interesting in that there is a pretty big delta in torque from run-to-run under 4500rpm. Above it you can throw a blanket over the runs. Any idea why? Also, when you get an appropriate car with a stock DME, I'm in for before-and-after deltas. Don't forget that you have a willing east coast dyno facility ready to do some testing.

Man those are strong wtq figures...though on the road those cars must heat soak instantly. Not the tunes fault though. Looking good.

So could this replace sending in your DME to get the flash for fueling?

Just stack with procede and adjust the appropriate fuel tables???
