Feeler Trade: '11 Mustang GT 5.0 6MT
Hi all, I have a really clean '11 Mustang GT Premium 5.0 6MT, black on black leather, with 24K miles. Clean title, no accidents, I have the title in hand. This car is in great condition and runs strong. Has all the performance goodies you'd want: 3.73 rear end, 19" OEM Brembo wheels with brand new Hankook V12's in 275/45/19, OEM Shelby GT500 axelback exhaust (sounds amazing but not obnoxiously loud). Everything else is stock. Even better, it's covered under a transferable Ford bumper-to-bumper warranty through Sept 2016 and Ford free maintenance through Sept. 2015 (even includes brakes and a clutch replacement!) The warranty & maintenance plans were an extra $3500! I love the car and performance is impressive with the 412 hp, 390 lb-ft 5.0. Runs 0-60 in approx. 4.5 seconds and a high 12-second quarter mile! Would consider trading for the right 135i or 335i. Would need to be 2009+ with relatively low mileage, 6MT greatly preferred but would consider auto or DCT. Located in Orange County (SoCal). As a point of reference, I consider my car's value around $27K with the mods and $3500 worth of warranty/maintenance included. Thanks for looking! Mustangs are nice but Corvettes are still the Kings of the Trailer Park!

I'm an equal-opportunity car enthusiast, not loyal to any one manufacturer. Say what you want about Corvettes, but the two C5 Z06's I've owned were far, far superior in almost every way to any of the 4 BMW's (two 135's and two 335's) I've owned. Maybe the only thing the BMW's were better at was interior quality.

Never compare a Mustang to an M3 on a BMW forum. Just sayin.

^Thanks. No doubt an M3 is a better car than a Mustang GT...would not argue that. My original statement was that the performance stats of the two are almost identical...as tested by many of the car mags when the new 5.0 hit the market in 2011.

Say what ya want but in reality performance-wise the new GT outlaps the M3 on the road course. Boss 302 exceeds it even further. The BMW is a much more well executed car, more livable and oh the ride...wow. Refinement is the Bimmer's ace in the hole.
But from someone who has owned em all (M3, 335i, GT, Cobra, Saleen), it does compare favorably after the 11 came out. Flame if ya want |

^Thanks! Yeah, the power is really impressive. Handling is improved over past models too. Still not as refined as a BMW but you can't beat the sound of that V8. I've been impressed with the 6MT too...throws are very short and precise.
