Smoke From Exhaust - Turbo Seals? Video Inside

Found this video of my car leaving cars and coffee from a few months ago and noticed the smoke coming from the exhaust? Does this look like the turbo seals are on the out?

Skip ahead to the 4:30 mark.

That looks like unburt fuel to me. Happens when you give it some throttle too, might be a rich condition.

+1 Its dark in color and looks like unburnt fuel from stabbing the throttle hard...I assume your fully catless?

If it was oil it would have white puffs of smoke....not dark colored as shown in the video

P.S. Car looks and sounds great!

I have catless downpipes but secondaries are still there. I did two pulls an hour ago and the first pull produced smoke and the second did not. I am experiencing some long cranks both with and without e85 so I may have a leaky injector. Would this cause the excess fuel causing the smoke? AFR's looked good after reviewing logs.

Did you check what color the smoke was on the pulls you did today? Since ive never had experience with a leaking injector I'm not exactly sure what to expect...

Just thinking out loud...I think with a leaky injector it would be difficult to maintain good AFRs....

If you suspect its the injectors maybe try stopping by a dealership and see if they can scan the injectors to see if they can be replaced under the recall....Shouldnt cost you a dime and at the same time they can check your HPFP since your having long cranks...Just find a mod friendly dealer or else

Also I heard if you have a leaky injector...When you pull the spark plugs after the car has been sitting overnight...You should be able to tell if the spark plug is wet

Definitely an injector/injectors leaking. AFR's looked good on both bank 1 and 2? How's the consistency between the two banks relative to each other? Keep in mind the AFR reading is post turbo, and from three cylinders. One cylinder could be rich, the other two in that bank running lean, and you will get correct AFR's even though it may not be the case per cylinder. My cyl 4 and 6 were leaking, yet my AFR's were spot on in bank 1 and 2.

Leave the car overnight, and pull the plugs in the morning. If any are wet, that cylinder's injector is leaking. If it's been leaking for awhile the plug will be black as well.

+1

I've also found that it's very hit and miss. These injectors can last thousands of miles, or a few hundred before they start leaking.

Yeah I probably have an injector leaking. I need to pull the plugs and figure it out soon. AFR's seem fine but I get rough cold starts often.

Def fuel, not oil. If your tuned you more then likely just running rich. Nothing to worry about but the long starts are a cause for concern.

Injector... You can cross check by smelling your exhaust when idle... another cross check is to see if you use a more then normal amount of fuel on average...
Smells spicy/sharp... when idle

When you are burning oil it will be blue smoke coming out, white is when you have coolant leaking in the head gasket and the one is normal as it was not black smoke which is too rich. Hope this helps.

Blue tinted smoke is oil... White smoke is usually water or condensation and dark smoke is fuel.
