2007 335i Coupe

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Alpine White; Black Dakota Leather w/ Brushed Aluminum Interior Trim; Premium Pkg; Sport Pkg; Steptronic (Automatic) Transmission w/ Paddle Shifters; Comfort Access; Heated Front Seats; Satellite Radio; iPod/USB Adapter.

Picked up at the factory in Germany and driven two weeks in Europe. Very careful break-in miles. Plan, from the beginning, was to sell it upon return. It arrived this week in Reno, NV. The U.S. MSRP out-the-door figure is $52,561.05. It has 2,700 miles on it for which I will eat ~$4k. The sale price is $48,500... firm, FOB Reno. The factory full-service warranty transfers.

If you have been shopping for 335i Coupes, you know they are hard to find. This one is flawless and after two weeks on highways better than ours, I can tell you it is a fantastic ride. If you're not interested, I don't need to hear from you. For serious parties, only, it is as new. Check out the pics.

And I'm assuming you got this for the ED price which is no where near the US MSRP...
So for $48k you might even be profiting (and had a nice, free rental on vacation). Not "eating" $4k.

The Euro price is ~$3k below U.S. price. Yes, my goal is to break even on what it would have cost to rent a BMW. (Forget about the cost of one Lufthansa ticket, hotels, meals, the Euro/USD exchange rate, $7/gal gas, tollway cost... are you getting it... the $3k Euro Delivery price savings simply doesn't go in your pocket.) Feel free to go to Germany yourself, otherwise you will pay the U.S. price. As I stated it in a straightforward manner, my price is $4k below that. It's pretty simple math for a pretty simple situation. If someone wants to pay $4k more, and they can find one at a dealer, that's fine. Cheers.

BUT... With ED you would maybe pay $1500 above invoice and get the options for invoice not pay close to even the Euro MSRP.

Wrong! The ED pricing is public knowledge on this website and others, go check it out. The options are NOT offered at "invoice", they have a price above invoice as well. So if you can add, you can figure out ED pricing w/ options. But... each dealer and buyer might arrive at different prices for the same car configuration, based on their wrangling over price. So you probably don't know within $1-2k what I paid for the car. Maybe I made a good deal, maybe I got taken. But the sale is quite simple and straightforward as spelled out in the post: The car is being offered for $4k below what a person can buy one, out-the-door, at my local dealer, and the vast majority of the rest of the BMW dealers in America... if you can find a Coupe at all. Thanks for your interest.

so let calculate your cost

Alpine White (0); Black Dakota Leather w/ Brushed Aluminum Interior Trim; Premium Pkg(2300) Sport Pkg (900); Steptronic (Automatic) Transmission w/ Paddle Shifters (1200+90); Comfort Access(455); Heated Front Seats(455); Satellite Radio(455); iPod/USB Adapter(350). plus base invoice 34370+755(dest) +dealer (1000) = ~43000 so 52K is a flat out lie. As for ED cost nobody told you to vacation in Europe. You could have easily flown there and came back the same day about (~1K). So you wanting 48K is your choice and total BS in my opinion. though if you are interested I can offer you 42K - 4K you are willing to eat about 38K.....

Also, on a personal note the fact that you can buy a 52k but complain about cost in Europe comon. (you shouldn't be driving in the bimmer in the first place).

p.s my math by might be a little off by I know I am in the ballpark. Stop kidding yourself and GL with the sale. If you did pay 52K for ED 3 series I feel deeply sorry for you man.

What a bunch of baloney. You won't get too much interest in the car with that hostile attitude and chicanery.

Now you do have a point! I am wondering if he is including all the taxes & etc in his price which even if we round them to 10% would bring the car's out the door price to ~$48K......

sorry, this attitude doesn't quite work. some might consider it "thread-crapping", but who gives a fuck? no one is here to help the seller get his shit out the door at his price.

i'd rather see all perspectives and then find out for myself.

respectfully, of course.

Are you kidding me?? Read his post. He is right in his numbers, you need to check yours .... That car, out the door, MSRP plus tax and lic is exactlly what he said. Give the guy a break!

Since it looks like you need some help ...

Base Price U.S.A. Port of Entry* $40,800
Options
205 STEPTRONIC automatic transmission $1,275
2XA Paddle Shifters $100
322 Comfort Access system $500
494 Heated front seats $500
655 Satellite radio $595
6FL iPod and USB adapter $400
Packages
ZPP Premium Package $3,250
ZSP Sport Package $1,000
Other Charges

Here, I will add it for you, since you don't have a clue!

I would say his out the door price of $52,561.05, is right on the money.
