E90 M3 replica front bumper tow hook removal

Hi guys,

I recently installed an E90 M3 replica bumper on my car and I'm having trouble removing the tow hook cover to install my Rho-plate license plate holder. I've done a little research and apparently the cover on these bumpers is not designed to pop out when pressure is applied to one side as they do on our stock bumpers.

Instead, it appears you have to actually pry the cover off. I'm a little bit wary about trying this because I don't want to scratch the paint or damage the bumper or tow hook cover.

Can someone whose had experience with this please offer some advice as to how I can get the tow hook cover off the bumper without damaging anything?

Thanks.

Put painters tape on a thin flat head and tape a smal part of the bumper where you decide to insert the flat head and pry it open it doesnt take major force at all to pop open
