Q On SAE Correction
what is the sae correction % you guys use on a dynojet? ive only seen some dyno graphs on this forum with sae corrections and most use .97-.99. i have no clue what the % is for either so help please.
also are Dynopacks accurate as well? |

It is ambient condition dependant. If the temps moves much from about 72 F the correction factor changes; as the temps increase the CF decrease and vice versa. If the humidity or barometric pressure changes, the CF changes, etc.
The equation takes into account temperature, humidity and barometric pressure and determines the adjustment value. The current Dynojet dynos are supposed to have sealed system to disallow tampering with the sensors that are used to determine the correction factor. But there are always other ways to influence the CF and dyno readings for the better. |

Correct, at the start (from what I recall) of the dyno run the ambient conditions (Temp, RH and Baro) are latched and recorded with the dyno data. That way the SAE J1349 formula can be applied if desired with the ambienbt conditions taken at the start of the dyno run.
