Question about TPMS and swapping wheels

I have an 08 335 and recently got a set of 07 wheels that already have tpms installed. Will they just work or do they need to be coded to the car?

Thanks

It will be a direct swap. Just make sure to reset the tpms manually or on your idrive so the car can sync up to the new sensors!

I don't have the idrive system. Is there something else that needs to be done for my car to see these?

Question about TPMS. So I have a Canadian E90. My local tire shop told me that the Canadian vehicles normally don't have an internal TPMS sensor. And it uses an external sensor to measure the TPMS. Can someone confirm that? On my iDrive it shows me the TPMS with the wheels green right now but I want to swap another set of wheels and tires (+1 size) and was wondering if I need TPMS or just do a reset on it to detect it.

Just read the owners manual, looks like the Canadian vehicles don't have internal TPMS sensors but they're more base on comparing the wheel speed of each wheel to determine if a tire is flat. Which is why it is labelled as a "Flat Tire Monitor" since it doesn't tell you the true pressure of the tires.
