How much you get if going to lighter wheels?
Does anyone knows if there is any real gain when moving, let's say changing from the OEM Styling 285 17x8 which weights 22.8Lbs each to APEX ARC-8 17x8.5 with a weigh of 17Lbs, will it be a performance gain? If yes, how much aprox?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. |

I read somewhere that removing 1 pound from your wheels / tires was like removing 7 pounds from your car. I have no idea if this conversion is accurate but removing weight from rotating parts does make a bigger difference then removing weight from non rotating parts for sure.

Cornering performance feels much better after I got my ForgeStar F14s, don't know what my 0-60 is like though since I don't have any way to reliably record such data.

Thanks for your comments pals! I've been told several times that using lighter wheels is good for acceleration from 0 but wanted to see if you felt the same about that.
