winkfpt.exe - Entry Point Not Found

After I install Standard Tools 2.12, I go through the process of updating the data files to v. 49. Whenever I do this and try to start WinKFP, I get the error in the title. I've been through the process numerous times with the same result.

I do the WinKFP update and afterwards things work OK. When I copy the files over to finish the daten update is when I get the error listed above. Is there any way to fix this?

Ok, I think it's something to do with the files that are copied over. NCSExpert goes back to version 3 rather than version 4.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

It is probably operating system issue, some mess in registry. Windows reinstalling resolves this issue.

I believe the problem was with the fact that after I'd install 2.12, I was copying over info from older versions of the software. NCS Expert would downgrade, so the new version of WinkFP was trying to talk to old versions of other software.

I know this thread is a little old, BUT, I am getting the same error message that you was getting, and I under stand about the old vs new versions.

So could you tell me the steps you took to resolve the problem?

Thanks!
