e90 sport seat swap 2009
i have a 2009 335i non sport and i swapped in a set of 2007 bmw sports seats.
i have everything working except the power lumber and side bolsters on the driver seat. I tried swapping the seat control module from the 2009 non sport seat and it still didnt change result. Does anyone know if i should try recoding the seat control module? |

It doesn't need a recode, the seat module has nothing to do with the lumbar/ bolster pumps.
As long as you have heated seats which i'm guessing you have or there would be no modules you can get away with linking the earth and power connectors to the heater wires, let me know if you need to know more but there is a really long post on here that explains it. This is not how it would be factory fitted but that means running an additional 2 wires from each seat to the fuse box. I did this last week on my 2011 car and all is fine, although I probably invalidated my warranty. |

best option is scrap yards, I found some on http://www.car-part.com/ that were sold with my old car. Great thing was they plugged right in and worked no problem since the seats and car were both pre-LCI. Gets a little more difficult when you go between pre-LCI and LCI models due to various modules.
