Got my windows tinted...

As mis leading as the title is for this thread, it is relevant.

The other day i brought my 2009 335i into a tint shop to get some tint work done. When i got my car back i noticed that my clock was reset ( it read --:--) and my kms till empty no longer was showing up on my display. this confused me as the only reason i would think this could happen is if they disconnected the battery, which i didn't think was necessary for tinting windows. it has been 3 days since the tint and my kms till empty still hasnt shown up and once in a while i get the little hazard light (the same one as when you turn off your tcs) i am not sure what is going on and wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue?

no i havent looked in the manual, if you think that would help me then refer me to that, i just thought id check the forum first.

thanks

If they had the doors open the car is awake = battery flat

If they had the doors open the car is awake = battery flat

Any time you are working on the car opening doors the car stays
awake and draws .5 amps to keep things ready to go.
Also having the fob close to the car extends and leaving it unlocked
extends the amount of time the car stays awake.

It does loose the trip computer data and the time if the battery is disconnected.

Kind of off topic. But if you need tinting or paint protection done in the future, go see Blackout Tinting. Those guys are awesome, they have done all my vehicles so far and treat me really good.

On topic- You could try this

okay thanks victimize, nice seeing someone from edmonton as well! i went to super tint because thats where my friend had gone to get his truck done, and they did a pretty good job. but i dont think i would go there again, they are not extremely detailed with thier installation (i noticed a few scratches on the tint). is not crazy noticable but i notice it, and it will proabably bother me.
