First BMW purchase, help pls
Little background info first. I'm graduating college this semester and
looking into buying my first car. Here are the specs I want 08 335i Coupe Black Sapphire /Coral Red Prem Sport Nav Park Distance Sat Radio IPOD Comfort Access Total MSRP 49645 I think After contacting pretty much every dealership in a 150 mile radius here in Louisiana the best offer I've came up with is $1000 off MSRP. I can afford it at that price but I'm really trying to get the best deal possible, but in the end I'll pay what I have to because this is the car I love. Most dealers said they wouldn't deal since they were selling them at retail. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice they could offer. Should I take the $1000 off offer and just ask for accessories such as mats etc, and if so what are the normal accessories people get. All I really know of is mats and maybe touch up paint from browsing the forums. Thanks for any help anyone can offer I've been browsing these forums for month in anticipation of ordering my car and the people here seem very helpful. Thanks |

congrats.. however as someone who is in your shoes with the college thing, you will hate having that huge payment after the novelty wears off. i hope you have a good job offer!!

Ahhh, I remember the days of purchasing my first Bimmer! I feel you! Congrats on being in the position now to buy one too!
Search this board for what most people are getting now. Lots of great info here that I wish was available to me when I started this journey. Make sure you are armed with the invoice/wholesale price as well as retail. Show them you have both and work it. Be prepared to order and wait 2-3 months for delivery. They usually will make a better deal with you if you are willing to wait, that way they can leave their closer allocation for those that are willing to pay closer to sticker. With BMW, if its a hot car (like the 335) and its on the lot, guarenteed sticker. Hope this helps.

$1000 is pretty standard everywhere you go.

Good news! I called the 1 800 number and they told me
the owner's circle website was indeed wrong and to not really believe anything I see there to just call them instead. I knew OC was inaccurate in regards to options I just didn't expect the model to be wrong also. |
