Still waiting. :(

My car finished production on Oct. 1st. Along with a few guys now on Liberty. I missed that boat, and assumed just barely. I also made the assumption I would be on next Monday's boat(that travels to Charleston, and seems to be one leaving every Monday)

I didn't make it on the Courage yesterday either. That leaves me waiting for the next boat next Monday.

I am generally just whining, but the desire for instant gratification is killing me. I think if I tell me GF "I want my car." one more time shes gonna kick me in the balls.

Just hang in there man. I finished production on 10/1 and didn't hear anything until this morning. Fortunately, I made the Otello which left on 10/11but I was flipping out as well because the 800# kept saying "waiting for a vessel"

I waited 3 months for my car. It was horrible, but at the end of it all...

Its definitely worth the wait....

It's funny ... we had this discussion already, she's a manager of a retail chain bookstore which means she works weekends. She was curious how much I planned on being out "road tripping" on the weekends. Needless to say I already have an extensive route map drawn up.

I told her to get a M-F 9-5 job ...

call your CA, 1800 number tells me mine is awaiting vessel, but my CA told me mine left port 10/15 (so I assume on the Courage)

Dude, vent away!!! It's funny...my girl got mad at me as well for being "obsessive" over the car. She thinks I think/care more about it than her...and it's not even here yet!! Funny, never used to be like this...I'm just so souped over it's arrival I can't contain myself. One thing I have noticed is how fanatical BMW drivers/enthusiasts are over their rides -- it's definitely comforting!! And, we all share in our own quiet pain/anguish over the arrival...of what some in my social circle have coined "the new baby."

From tracking the production process (and falling in love with BMW automated woman telling me my status), to tracking the ship, to taking screenshots of a map of the ocean or trying to ascertain the coordinates...to buying a whole list of crap before the car even gets here..I've gone officially mental!!!

yup talked to her today, we waited untill tuesday just to verify everything was updated. No dice for some reason. It's been at port since the 3rd or something too.

Oh I feel you. I've always been one of those car guys, and I've been with my GF for over 7 years. Shes use to me

but says this time around I have reached a new level of fanatic.

I whined about the car to her earlier, and in the same breath I also mentioned the new radar detector was 400$ The look was icy to say the least. I have my little stockpile of pre-mods on the basement floor. I get the same icy look every time I stack a new box on top of the already growing pile.

ps. I love the little musical tone the 800 number plays after the voice says she is checking the status.

My husband is the same way, he can't stand to hear about the car's features any more.

My car is 9 days away from being picked up, its sitting at the Performance Driving Center right now but my pickup date is not until October 25th.

I miss tracking the ship, called the 1-800 number, etc. There's no point anymore, so I just obsessively read this forum and the manual and try my best not to talk about it anymore, at home or at work (picture of it is my screensaver).

I think he (husband) will get more excited about the car when its here. He told the dealer we just paid that I used to be this excited about him!

Yea, full on confirmed I'm not on the boat today. My CA doesn't understand why though. In another thread, someone who was production complete on the 8th made it on the boat, while I had been sitting at port since the 3rd and I didn't make it onboard.

Monday is my next shot ... if I don't make that one then I will assume the worst ... which would be terrorists stole my car. .... or it fell off the train.
